I adore French General fabrics... and especially the stronger design prints.
My buttons are painted so to get the 2 to mix it needs a plain off white fabric to separate & to highlight both..
I love collages
These make great framed decor or use the concept for slow stitching or just take one piece of the idea for a stocking front or a gift bag ... centre of a Christmas quilt.....
