ChRISTMAS Has Started here

I have boxed these decorations and placed them on my website

DESIGNS are : 

Baubles, 

Tree, 

Birdie 

& 

Santa face

There are 4 sets of one each designed in box.

Well one sits on the front of box & 3 more inside

COLOURS are : natural and off white / natural

I did experiment with colours that I use a lot in painting Christmas reds, greens, off white, then did solids in blues, pinks off white...after much deliberation I chose these 2 colourways...

I am hoping to collect a few more of these boxes once the lock downs move a bit more to a relaxed shopping....but when that will be as Victoria has some movement of people & the virus again...

So guess what the boxes can wait !

Simple Christmas Baubles from Theodora Designs

 When I designed these I had in my mind a simple drop hanging from the tree branch in white chalk paint....

or

natural.

Chalk paint proved a bit thick & filled up the etching on the designs a bit too much

So back to the off white paint I usually use.

 I love both effects....so that is what will be for the year....

The detail this time is in the cutaway pieces of the design and the etching...

 I did try painting these in pink & blue & a dark grey as well as red...

Nothing looked as lovely as these plain simple statements did

 I love them on the tree tied with some twine...

Painting Fabric

Last week I spent a bit of my days painting these onto fabric that had in the most a bit of linen mixed with the cotton

All except blocked in colours were painted with a long thin liner brush....

I enjoyed this delicate touch
