As the days challenge me with this move,
I grab a little time to sit & paint, ponder and listen to ABC radio national..often the Conversations...then Phillip Adams , then time to prep dinner !

My colour intensifies from the soft pastel to a more vibrant pastel but not as brilliant as I have done before...this brings me life, it lifts me up.

I visit 3 decor shops and my visual holds the oddest of things from these visits...
The changes in design,
who they might be behind the original designs,
the colours... some I mentally resist on seeing them
as is the same with shapes....
More Australian motifs done in a most attractive way with skilled illustrations at the base of these designs...
I see the lovely artist with her exquisite colour palette in Adair....
It's Dana's work that I adore..
I am happy for her, she deserves a broad stage to show her work..

I also see the stitchery artist from Byron Bay region who bravely had a style that was different & now influences...I hope she is taken up and makes some money for the trend and the colour too.

The stores are styled & I love that bigger picture ...colour & format & form all embrace me & entice me to drift.....

I take my designs and see what happens with the everyday dog, cat or bird.... flowers have crept back into my work...
In my mind I want to see many more florists with bunches of flowers..
I think who could grow these in our country and does it need a largess holding... to be able to sell what you sow and reap?
That is change...change to the thinking of what is success...
The Creators are not always behind a pencil, they till the soil & plant the flowers or veges or herbs....

I have just saved a LOT of MOOD BOARDS to my pinterest.....,,,
Today this lifts me, I am inspired to challenge myself with this too, I do not want to loose the spirit it brings..

Today the leaves that fell like confetti from the huge claret ash for days will be blasted away and of course not as much has fallen overnight.
The colours are nowhere as vibrant as last fall, slow to change colour and to begin to do their dance on the paving, the garden & in the streets....
All this has an affect on what design and direction I might move in next.

But hey if you do not have ambitions, dreams & a bit of drive & loads of risk what is a life about ?
